Pam Hugghins

Pam Hugghins


Pam Hugghins was born in Auburn, Alabama. She moved to Opp, Alabama in 1959 when her father, Dr. John Thomas Hugghins, opened his dental practice there. Pam is a 1972 graduate of Opp High School. She attended Auburn University and Troy State University where she earned a degree in elementary education. 

After graduation she began her teaching career in the Opp City School System where she served the children of Opp for 27 years. She retired from Alabama in 2007 after accepting a teaching position with the Escambia County School System in Florida. She taught in Pensacola for eight years and retired from Florida in 2015. 

After retirement, she moved back home to Opp where she now resides. Pam is a member of Westview Baptist Church, Hopeful Hearts Sunday school class, Monday Night Ladies Bible Study and the Three Arts Club of Opp. She was also an active member of the Opp Depot Restoration Committee and looks forward to serving our community through the Opp Vision in Action Board.
