Jonathan Penn graduated from Andalusia High School, but his family has always called Opp home. Jonathan grew up in his family’s accounting business in Opp, but always had a passion for computers. After attending Faulkner University in Montgomery Jonathan moved to Destin Florida where he was involved in the mortgage and real estate industry until moving back to Opp in 2012 to care for a family member. 

After many years of being back in Opp, Jonathan decided to pursue his passion for computers and went on to manage a local aerospace firm’s IT operation for several years. Subsequently, he decided to invest in the community and purchased a building and started IronStone Technology Solutions here in Opp to serve the local needs for computer, networking and website design. 

Jonathan lives in Opp with his wife Kelley Penn and their dog Spunky.

Opp Vision In Action Foundation, LLC

Founding Board Member

Aug 2019 – Present 

The Opp Vision in Action Foundation was formed with the purpose of impacting lives in Opp, Alabama through community and economic development, entrepreneurial education and support, and its’ planned development of the former Covington Jewelers building for the purpose creative placemaking.

The IRS approved our 501 (c) 3 request and our determination letter from the IRS establishing our tax exempt was issued on October 23rd, 2019.
