Wendy Johnson is one of the founding members of the Opp Vision In Action Foundation and she currently serves as Chair of the Board. Additionally, she serves her community as Vice-Chair of the Opp Downtown Redevelopment Authority. She has a passion and vision for revitalizing Opp and making it a vibrant community for current residents and creating a destination that tourists will enjoy visiting. Wendy has a love for community and events that bring people of the community together. She is excited to be a part of transforming downtown into something beautiful, where empty buildings will be filled with new businesses and increased foot traffic will bring excitement and vitality to downtown Opp!

Wendy grew up on a beautiful sprawling cattle ranch in a small community in north Alabama, but has called Opp home since 1993. She holds a MS and BS from Jacksonville State University, where she was employed before moving to Opp. At present, she serves on several committees, which include: Vice-Chair Opp Downtown Revitalization Authority, Opp Vision In Action Foundation, LBWCC Marketing Committee, LBWCC Hospitality & Social Committee, LBWCC Title III Advisory Board, and Scholastic Judge for Distinguished Young Women.

Wendy resides within the city of Opp with her husband, Clarke, and children, Jacob and Morgan.
